About Nina Ricci
Nina Ricci was founded by Maria Ricci in 1932 as an outlet for creating her own pieces after working for Raffin for so many years where her ideas were unable to take life. Ricci's exquisite designs soon became known for their refined, romantic and always feminine aura. The House of Nina Ricci grew rapidly throughout the thirties and the one-room maison de couture became 11 floors in 3 buildings, and during WWII the line was expanded to include leather goods and fashion acccessories. Nina Ricci eyewear embodied the glamour and elegance of the line with a touch of audaciousness. Jackie-O was a fan and wore the original Nina Ricci 3203 sunglasses in 1978 at a Robert F Kennedy Pro Celebrity Tennis Tournament.

As the name suggests, Paloma Picasso was indeed related to Pablo Picasso. She was his youngest daughter who followed in his creative footsteps using fashion as her medium. She began designing jewelry in 1968 and perfumes in 1984. Her eyewear is an extension of her design philosophies, carrying over many of the detailing that is so prevalent in her jewelry. Her obsession with the color red can also be seen throughout her eyewear collections. Each unique frame is a beautiful work of art.
