Kings of Past vintage eyewear is not sourced through flea markets and vintage markets where everything is used. We only source through reputable sources where we can be sure of the authenticity and the newness, we only source products from old manufacturers and distributors, we do not buy from individuals who claim to have unworn eyewear. From Italy to France, Japan to UK, Germany to Dubai, India to Ecuador, Costa Rica to Hong Kong, Austria to Africa it doesn’t matter as eyewear aficionados we will travel anywhere to find our stock, and we find ALOT of stock. We spend days going through old warehouses and manufacturing plants. And then we spend weeks carefully categorizing our product. It only goes online after a very lengthy 3-6 month process. Each frame is carefully selected and undergoes a rigorous quality inspection process to ensure the integrity of the material, hinges, lenses and alignment.

Persol is an Italian eyewear company specializing in sunglasses that was founded in 1917 by Giuseppe . The name is derived from “per il sole,” which means “for the sun” in Italian. The company originally catered to pilots and sports car drivers due to the line’s sports wear focus and durability. It’s trademark is the silver arrow which is feature on several of the company’s glasses. Persol was introduced to the States in 1962. Steve McQueen popularized 2 Persol models: the 714 folding sunglasses and the 649.
